Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Most Admired CEO” Awards recognize established local leaders who have a strong record of innovation, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to diversity in the work place, and who have made significant contributions to the Metro Atlanta community. David, who founded Legacy Ventures in 1994, has developed over $500 million in Downtown Atlanta real estate. Innovations included developing the first hotel downtown in 15 years, the first modern-day boutique hotel in Atlanta, and Atlanta’s first rooftop lounge.  David‘s firm expanded into hotel and restaurant operations management in 2011. Legacy Ventures now provides development and management services to third-party owners, and has a Downtown Atlanta footprint of 5 hotels and 12 restaurants. With just a handful of employees in 1994, Legacy Ventures’ team has expanded to over 1200 people deployed in four states.

As President, David continues to cultivate an exceptional team that has the passion, tools, and support necessary to drive outstanding results. He is also active on many civic and industry boards, including the Atlanta Rotary Club, Central Atlanta Progress, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District Board, ADID Interagency Law Enforcement TaskForce (Chairman), the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, Georgia State University School of Hospitality’s Advisory Board, Partners for HOME Board, and the Centennial Park District® Board (Founder and Chairman).

“I’m honored and proud to be named among such a prestigious group of CEOs,” said David. “This is also an honor for the entire Legacy Ventures team, for the good work that they do and the passion to serve that they live daily.”
