Michael Watkins is responsible for strategically selling his assigned hotels’ inventory in a way that increases the overall profitability of the asset. He develops and implements his strategies in coordination with the hotel’s Director of Sales and General Manager. Michael’s rate strategies have ensured that his assigned hotels lead in rate and occupancy among competition.
Prior to joining Legacy Ventures, Michael’s focus was in hotel operations. He served as the Manager of Guest Experience at the, then newly built, W Hotel Downtown, where he managed every aspect of the stay experience from sounds to smells, by working with every operational department. Before working at the W, Michael was the Front Office Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Alpharetta, where his team held the top national spot for customer service. The hotel won the coveted Carney Award in 2008.
Michael enjoys reading, collecting music, contemporary art, and crafting classic libations.
