Legacy Ventures Team Members Take Home Seven Awards at the GHLA Stars of the Industry Celebration

Legacy Ventures announces and congratulates its seven winners of the GHLA Stars of the Lodging Industry Awards Celebration! With 800 people in attendance, the competition was fierce, and the energy was high. Legacy Ventures’ Georgia hotel teams presented many very worthy nominees and left the luncheon with seven very deserving winners. Congratulations to the nominees & winners!

OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY SERVICE: Ivy Mpofu accepted this award on behalf of the Hilton Garden Inn – Atlanta Downtown team, which celebrated the hotel’s strong commitment to community service efforts.

OUTSTANDING SPECIAL EVENT:  Ivy Mpofu accepted this award on behalf of the Hilton Garden Inn – Atlanta Downtown team, who won for their “stress free”  event, where the hotel offered yoga and neck massages to their guests on the pool deck.

SPIRIT OF HOSPITALITY:  Santresia Coggins from the Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park and William Moore from DoubleTree Atlanta Northlake were both awarded the Spirit of Hospitality award, which is a new category celebrating the spirit of our industry and their amazing individual stories.

STEVAN PORTER EMERGING HOSPITALITY LEADER:  Colin James-Sarner from the Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park won this award as an emerging leader who continues to grow and make a difference with his great work.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORT DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE:  Eduardo Byers from the Glenn Hotel won this award for his dedicated support of all areas in the property – engineering, bell, housekeeping – whatever it takes to get the job done.

OUTSTANDING ROOMKEEPER:  Derrick Joseph from the Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park won this award for his tireless commitment to all things housekeeping!
